Chesley C. Carr, PGA
Although Chesley (Ches) Carr was born in Dallas, his devotion to golf was sparked during his childhood while living in Austin. His first job working the driving range at Morris Williams Municipal Golf Course offered the additional bonus of spending time with his grandfather, who also worked there under local legend, Head Pro, and Coach George Hannon. Ches honed his golf skills first on the Westwood High School golf team in Austin, then later competed for the Lake Highlands High School golf team in Dallas. After completing his degree in TV/Radio (minor in Economics) at Southern Methodist University, the lure of Austin called again, and he began a 17-year career at Barton Creek Resort & Club.
Beginning at Barton Creek Lakeside in September 1999, Ches worked his way up from Guest Services to Class A PGA Head Golf Professional over all four Barton Creek golf operations (PGA Certification, PGA GPTP/PGM, Port Saint Lucie, FL, 2000 – 2006). In 2004 he was certified through the Chuck Cook Golf Academy in both the teacher training and club fitting programs. Over the years his natural talents in building relationships and high-end customer service were successfully applied to supporting 1200 active golf members. He also developed, marketed, and executed a rigorous 35+ member tournaments a year.
Over the years Ches still found time to compete in over 50 STPGA golf tournaments, achieving multiple team and pro/am wins. He also served as Volunteer Chair for the Canadian Tour events held in Austin from 2004-2006.
A new opportunity beckoned in 2016 and Chesley left the golf business, spending the next three years in the wholesale construction supply industry, learning sales and business development from the ground up. However, beginning in January 2020, Chesley enthusiastically returned to the world of golf that he loves, and applied his industry-leading service and years of experience to RokGolf customers. At RokGolf, Chesley achieved Level I and Level II Trackman certification, as well as became a certified club fitter through Calloway Golf and delved deeply into the instructional side of golf.
Chesley is extremely excited to be back “home” at Barton Creek, where he cut his teeth in the golf industry. He is looking forward to providing an exceptional club fitting experience to the Barton Creek membership as well as Central Texas golfers.
Over the years, Chesley has worn many hats, but whichever hat he wears, you’ll be welcomed with a warm smile by this experienced and knowledgeable golf professional!

Master Fitter, Owner
Born and raised in Texas, Bobby began playing the game of golf at an early age. In 2004, he began his career in golf at Barton Creek Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas and studied under the direction of Teacher Chuck Cook who is a Golf Magazine Top 100 instructor and #2 Teacher by Golf Digest.
Because of his expertise in instruction and club fitting, Bobby was recruited by Edel Golf and became their VP of Sales. While at Edel, he became an intricate part of training and traveled worldwide to develop Edel’s team of fitters. He was in charge of international business development and the development of new Edel Certified Fitters across the U.S. and the world.
With the lack of club fitters and studios in the Austin and central Texas area, Bobby saw an opportunity to use his experience and expertise. He then launched the Barton Creek Fitting Studio in April of 2018 which has now become Golf Digest Top 100 Club Fitters in the US. Here he has been able to create the only outdoor fitting location in central Texas to offer every major manufacturer with real ball flight off of green grass using a Trackman4.
